I don't know anything about Herr Peregrin. He was certainly
impressed with the motorcycle, but whether this was because of the
machine's inherent excellence or because (as I suspect) he had an
association with the factory is hard to tell.
The translation was done by my wife, Anna Solomun, who was
(appropriately enough!) born not far from the Adler works in
Frankfurt. The flowery nature of the prose has been edited a
little to make it tolerable to modern readers, but some of the
syntax is still inescapably German......
I have replaced the German technical data sheet with that from
the English-language version of the owner's manual.
